SUNDERLAND supporters have a last-minute chance of playing golf with the club’s first-team players and staff – but they’ll have to be quick off the mark to book their places!
Of the 18-team slots originally available for the Sunderland AFC Golf Day at the George Washington Hotel, Golf Club and Spa, only two team places remain for the matchday which will be held this Monday, September 9th.
The event will see 18 groups of four go head-to-head, with each group including an SAFC representative.
A selection of first-team players and staff will be competing alongside members of the SAFC board, as well as former Black Cats players.
And star guest, manager Jack Ross, will also be there attending the close-of-play presentation.
Tickets for the remaining slots are priced £500 plus VAT for three-player packages with benefits including a welcome BBQ buffet with drinks, a driving range and putting green warm-up, 18 holes of golf, four ball shotgun start, prizes for ‘nearest the pin’, ‘longest drive’, ‘hole in one’ and ‘best and worst performers’.
There will also be a post-golf drinks reception, three-course dinner served in the Orangery and a close-of-play presentation.
Golf course manager Bill Michie said: “We’ve always had strong links with Sunderland Football Club – including hosting the former SAFC players’ Golf Day, and it’s no surprise this event has proven so popular.
“We have only two team places remaining but we know they’ll get snapped up before Monday.”
