Bedroom Refurbishments - complete

Despite the current concerns about the economy we have now completed our refurbishment programme. Work is expected to be completed .by the beginning of 2010. Pro Am Golf Tournament

The first Pro Am to the George Washington is coming on 1st October 2008. We're looking for teams of 3 to play with a PGA professional. The cost is £195 per team of 3 and includes tea, coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, 18-holes of golf followed by a 3-course dinner in the golf clubhouse. Ladies Open 29th September 2008

The George Washington Golf and Country Club hosts its first Ladies Open and Fashion Show on Monday 29th September. The Golf North East sponsored event, marks a new beginning for the Tyne and Wear golf club. The Washington-based club has recently opened a brand new £3million golf clubhouse and is aiming to attract female golfers to the new state-of the-art facility.

Wedding Fayre 21st September 2008

The Fayre is open from 12noon - 3.30pm with a number of local wedding suppliers exhibiting including bridal wear, menswear, flowers, photographers and many more. Our team are also on-hand to show you around the hotel including the brand new Clinton suite in the clubhouse.

£3million Golf Clubhouse Opens in the Region

A new £3million golf clubhouse at the George Washington Golf and Country Club officially opened its doors on Tuesday 3rd June. The Washington-based hotel has completed the second phase of a multi-million pound redevelopment. The new facility comprises of locker and changing facilities, function room, lounge bar, golf shop and an outdoor balcony overlooking the first and tenth tees.
