The George Washington Golf and Country Club, Washington, Tyne and Wear has an excellent range of conference and meeting facilities.  The George Washington is conveniently located in between Newcastle upon Tyne (6 miles) and Sunderland (7 miles).  The hotel itself is set within 280 acres of woodland golf course but within close proximity to the A1, A19 and the major cities in the North East.

The 4 meeting rooms offer air conditioning, natural daylight plus delegates benefit from over 250 free onsite parking spaces with 500 new spaces to open soon.

The Washington Suite, the largest of the rooms on offer, holds up to 200 delegates theatre style or 150 banquet. The room is located close to reception and with large windows and air conditioning, guests can expect both comfort and space.

Alternatively the Nixon and Kennedy Suites are perfect for smaller meetings or private dining. In addition to the 3 meeting rooms there are 5 syndicate rooms, perfect for use as break out areas, plus the newly refurbished restaurant is also a popular choice among clients.

A brand new clubhouse with panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding areas has recently opened. The clubhouse comes complete with its own function room seating up to 180 delegates theatre style or 150 banquet. The room offers plasma TV and an in-built projector and screen.
